POPE’S VISIT
During the recent Ad Limina Visit, the Holy Father announced his forthcoming trip to the UK, possibly sometime in September 2010. Sadly there is already opposition headed by the Secular Society of Great Britain to this visit. The Secular Society have an online petition which has already attracted over 20.000 signatures and yet a petition supporting the visit has far fewer signatures. You are asked to visit the website below and sign the supporting petition as we welcome the Holy Father to our country. www.petitiononline.com/PopeinUK/petition.html.
Please Pray and Fast for the defeat of the Children, Schools and Families Bill
The Good Counsel Network is urgently asking you to pray and fast on Monday 15th March for the defeat of the Children, Schools and Families Bill which is continuing its passage through Parliament. If it becomes law, the Bill will mean that children of Primary School Age will be taught explicit and immoral sex education by teachers who may be utterly at variance from the parents in their moral views. Unfortunately, the much publicised amendment to the Bill will not protect children in faith schools from the many dangers of this bill.
For more info telephone 020 7723 1740.
Are you looking for a Holy Communion Dress? Please see the poster on the notice board and take a card. A donation will be made to Holy Innocents for every dress purchased.
