Holy Innocents’ Catholic Primary School: Ofsted Inspection 2011
Many of you will know that the overall outcome of the recent inspection of our Parish School was a satisfactory one with some good features particularly the teaching and learning in the early years and relationships with the community.  The areas identified for development included children’s attainment in mathematics, the governance of the school and support for gifted and talented pupils. Full details are a matter of public record and can be viewed on the Ofsted website or better still on the Parish School website under ‘Key Information’ http://www.holyinnocents.bromley.sch.uk/keyinfo.asp. The governors, headteacher and staff have produced an Action Plan to address these areas and much is already being put into place.  We have invited parents to give feedback on the plan and would also welcome any feedback from parishioners.  Please do not hesitate to get in touch with Kim Insley, the Chair of Governors who is also a parishioner.  She can be contacted via email kim@shawfields.com or through the Parish Office. A copy of the action plan sent to parents is available from the Parish Office or on the ‘Letters’ page of the school website http://www.holyinnocents.bromley.sch.uk/letters.asp

Supporting As a tribute to those who cared for my late father, George McDonough, a parishioner at Holy Innocents’ for almost 20 years, I will be taking part in the Bath Half-marathon in six weeks, raising funds for Macmillan who do fantastic work supporting cancer patients and their families and friends.
Mum and I found the information leaflets and telephone support from Macmillan very helpful at that time, as well as the bereavement support group from Harris Hospice-care, and I wanted to give something back and help those who follow in our footsteps.

If anyone in Holy Innocents’ who might have known George were interested in donating a pound or two, I have an online donation page at Just Giving
Thank you
Helen (Milne).

O Blessed Trinity,
We thank You for having graced the Church with Pope John Paul II and for allowing the tenderness of your Fatherly care, the glory of the cross of Christ, and the splendour of the Holy Spirit, to shine through him.
Trusting fully in Your infinite mercy and in the maternal intercession of Mary, he has given us a living image of Jesus the Good Shepherd and has shown us that holiness is the necessary measure of ordinary Christian life and is the way of achieving eternal communion with you.
Grant us, by his intercession, and according to Your will, the graces we implore, hoping that he will soon be numbered among your saints. Amen
This we ask for all in great need.
