The safety of all who use the Church is of paramount importance, so a group of volunteers act as
Fire Wardens and Health & Safety advisors.
IN CASE OF FIRE
All the groups who use the church eg Group 88, Youth Club etc, must make make sure they know what to do in cases of fire.
Essentially they need to be able summon help (999) so they need:
a mobile phone,
a torch in case of a power cut,
a register of people present,
knowledge of the fire escapes and fire appliances &
know where the assembly point is (outside the presbytery).
