CAFOD
(the Catholic Fund for Overseas Development) is the main Catholic charity
responding to need throughout the world. It distributes food to all, regardless
of politics, creed or ethnic background. Just as importantly, it sets up and
supports long-term projects to provide clean water, farming equipment and
training courses. This encourages 'self-help' in communities around the globe
and brings renewed hope to millions. The Parish has been consistently generous
towards CAFOD. There is a slot for donations in the wall above the newspaper
table in the porch. We intend to arrange speakers and slide shows from time
to time.
