"Mothers
Prayers" was started a number of years ago by two grandmothers who were
concerned by the harmful influences on their children and grandchildren and
felt called to pray for the Lord to change things.
"Mothers Prayers" has spread rapidly around the world to over 90 Countries.
Each week mothers pray together in small groups uniting their
prayers with all the thousands of mothers around the world.
It brings them
such comfort to know of this prayer support.

There have been many wonderful answers to prayers with children
- coming off drugs,
- returning home after long absences,
- coming back to the faith and many other blessings, for example:
- when bullying at school has stopped and
- family relationships have improved dramatically.
Mothers too have felt a great peace as they experience the reality of Jesus
invitation:-
"Come to me all who labour and are burdened and I will give
you rest".
They are able to share their concerns, knowing that all will remain confidential and nothing will be spoken about outside the group.
There is a small booklet of prayers which gives the format of meetings.
The
prayers are very simple, just a mother's heart speaking to Jesus.
There are two groups at Holy Innocents'
One at Monica Gallagher's home weekly at 11am on a Tuesday morning.
The other group meets alternate Wednesday mornings in the Parish centre, as announced in the bulletin.
