Holy Innocents - Music

Parish Groups: Music

The Organ

Picture of sheet of music The organ was specially designed for the new Church by Herr Spath of West Germany. It is a two-manual tracker action pipe organ, and is particularly suited for the music of the period of J S Bach. It is perfect for the accompaniment of congregational singing, which it supports but cannot drown. The present organist, Jean Treloar, is always willing to assist and encourage any would-be organist.

The Parish Choir

The Parish Choir takes part in all the major liturgical events of the year. It also sings at the 10am Mass on the second Sunday of each month and the 6pm Mass on the last Saturday of the month. Rehearsals take place on the previous Thursday in each case at 8pm.
